Ridgewood WWII Vet Robert Pagony Dies at Age 85

Pagony died on Tuesday; his funeral will be held Friday.

A veteran and longtime Ridgewood resident died at the age of 85 Tuesday, according to his obituary.

Robert J. Pagony, of Tinton Falls and formerly of Ridgewood, served in the US Navy during WWII and was an employee of the Little Falls manufacturing plant Singer-Kearfott.

Pagony was the beloved husband of Eileen (Nee: McQuillan) and the father of Nancy Nardelli, who lives in Ridgewood with husband Vito. Pagony was a grandfather of three.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 5 at Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood at noon. Visiting hours are 10 a.m. to noon. The internment will follow in Cedar Lawn Cemetary in Paterson.
