Accident Forced Closure of 208 N Thursday Morning

One woman taken to hospital complaining of neck and back pain, according to Glen Rock police

A motor vehicle accident shut down heavily-traveled 208 N during rush hour Thursday morning, forcing traffic through Glen Rock.

According to Cpt. Jonathan Miller, traffic was bumper-to-bumper at around 8:18 a.m. when a pickup truck in the fast lane failed to see that traffic had halted, striking the rear of the vehicle in front of him. The driver of the vehicle struck, a sedan, complained of neck and back pain, Miller said. She was transported to Valley Hospital by the .

Police were forced to close the road for 45 minutes, diverting traffic through de Boer Drive until the road reopened at 9:07 a.m.

The driver of the pickup truck was issued summonses for careless driving and not having a driver's license in possession.
