A North Maple Avenue business, masquerading as a beauty salon offering massage and tattoo removal services, was busted Tuesday in connection with an alleged prostitution ring, authorities said.

Kamila Chase, 36, of Flemington, NJ was arrested and charged with soliciting prostitution to an undercover officer at an unmarked business at 553 North Maple Avenue, according to Ridgewood police. Two other women were in the second-story office of "Aromas" Isle, Inc. at the time of the raid and could face charges, Ridgewood police say. They have not been publicly identified or charged at this time, police said.

Ridgewood PD and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Special Operations Division had conducted surveillance operation and undercover investigation into the alleged ring for roughly a month-and-a-half, Police Chief John Ward said. The investigation culminated with authorities arresting Chase at around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Police were alerted to the alleged prostitution acts by an anonymous tip, police said Thursday in a news release.

Officials from the Ridgewood building and fire departments were called to the scene to investigate any possible code or building violations.

Sources told Patch despite the lack of signage or posted business name, the parking lot was often full. Well-dressed men were seen frequenting the establishment, often late at night and on Sunday, according to sources.

The merchants, according to sources, told suspicious neighbors the business did nails, tattoo removal, massages and other beauty services.

A dry cleaner business, , and hair salon, , located on the first floor of the building, are not believed to have any involvement.
