Traffic Stop Leads to $10,000 Heroin Find, Glen Rock Police Say

Two New York men are facing heroin distribution charges.

Two New York men remain lodged in Bergen County jail after a traffic stop led to the discovery of $10,000 worth of heroin, authorities said Thursday.

According to Glen Rock Police Chief Fred Stahman, Patrolman Michael Trover pulled over the vehicle occupied by Shane Kehrley, 36 of Youngsville, NY, and Roger A. Miller, 28 of Jeffersonville, NY on Wednesday.

An investigation revealed 537 bags of heroin and a hypodermic syringe concealed in the car, Stahman said. The street value is over $10,000, Stahman noted.

Both were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and possession of heroin. Miller was also charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe.

Miller and Kehrley were being held in Bergen County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.
