Children's Aid and Family Service: $2,500 From Safe Missing
The non-profit reportedly told police the money went missing sometime from December to March.
The police are reporting that a representative of Children's Aid and Family Services claims to have discovered $2,500 from a safe in one of its residential group homes was stolen, reportedly sometime between December 14 of last year and March 3. The report was filed March 7.

Police responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident on West Glen Avenue and North Monroe Street after the vehicle struck a telephone pole and two traffic control boxes on Monday night, according to police. Police say the driver, a Midland Park man, was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving and failure to wear a seatbelt. The individual was released pending a future court appearance in Ridgewood, police say.

Someone representing an undisclosed East Ridgewood Avenue business told police on March 4 that an individual had deposited three forged checks into an Arizona-based account. The victim, police say, was notified of the checks by her bank and detectives are looking into the issue.

Police say they arrested a 21-year-old Ridgewood man on charges of marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia after conducting a motor vehicle stop on East Ridgewood Avenue on Feb. 26. The accused was released and will see a future appearance in Ridgewood Municipal Court.
