This week, a New Milford man was arrested in connection with the murder of a Teaneck woman, two Brooklyn women were charged with stealing from a Mahwah CVS, a Garfield teen was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train and more.   • Investigators believe a Teaneck woman was , Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said Wednesday afternoon. Pedro Guittierez, 24, of New Milford, was charged with murder and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose after U.S. Customs agents pulled him off a Colombia-bound flight at Orlando International Airport Tuesday night, Molinelli said.

  • A Waldwick man  into aGlen Rock home. Police charged the 35-year-old with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, failure to stop, and driving without an insurance card, said Glen Rock Police Department Captain Jonathan Miller.

  • Two Brooklyn, NY women were  from the Mahwah CVS on Franklin Turnpike Monday night, according to a release sent by Police Captain Stephen Jaffe.

  • Dozens of residents attended the Westwood council work session Tuesday night, along with a lawyer they have hired, to .

  • Hundreds came out for the  event at Woodland Park in Hasbrouck Heights last week. The field was full of activities for youngsters such as inflatable bounce house, slide and the fire department was on hand to give hands-on demonstrations to the kids.

  • A 13-year-old Garfield Middle School student died after being hit by an NJ Transit train Monday. Friends and family members mourned the loss of Michael Cabaj. His death has prompted an examination of safety precautions at train crossings in the area.

  • 2-year-old boy missing from Connecticut was found in Oakland Thursday and the boy's father was arrested.

  • The Quanta Resources Superfund site in Edgewater will be capped, even though residents wanted the pollution to be removed instead.

  • The use of iPads in the classroom has grown in North Jersey.
