Saudino Names Former Ridgewood Detective As Undersheriff

Harry Shortway Jr., who served as a Village officer for 42 years, named to second stint as an undersheriff

Harry Shortway Jr., who spent 42 years as a police officer in Ridgewood, has been named as an undersheriff to , according to a report on NorthJersey.com.

Shortway retired from the department as a detective sergeant before serving as an undersheriff under Joel Trella. He then ran against and lost to Leo McGuire, who Saudino defeated earlier this month.

Saudino also named former Teaneck Deputy Chief Steven Librie, retired Paramus Capt. Brian Smith and retired Carlstadt Detective Capt. Robert Colaneri as undersheriffs, The Record reported.
