Resident Returns Home to Find Burglar

Incident occurred Friday morning on Jerome Avenue, according to police.

A man returning home from a pre-dawn dog walk discovered an intruder rifling through his things before fleeing, according to .

Police said a Jerome Avenue resident arrived at his house at about 4 a.m. Friday, heard a noise, and saw a hooded suspect running out the front door. The resident's Sony Playstation and several games were reportedly nabbed.

Cops report the resident saw the suspect enter a vehicle waiting near the home. The car, observed to be an older model dark red four-door sedan "with a noisy exhaust" and aftermarket wheels, pulled a quick left onto Ackerman Ave. towards Fair Lawn.

Units from Glen Rock and Fair Lawn set up a perimeter and searched for the suspect and vehicle, but were unable to catch the burglary suspects. No injuries were reported.
