Glen Rock Reinstates Two Crossing Guard Posts

Crossing guards will be back at Maple + Waldron and Ackerman at Harding on a limited basis, according to police.

Two posts briefly discontinued after a joint study will be reinstated effective Monday, May 20, according to Glen Rock police.

Police announced in late April that it would be discontinuing crossing guard coverage at Maple and Waldron, as well as Ackerman at Harding. The move accompanied additional crossing guard posts in other locations. Mayor John van Keuren notified the board of the latest revisions, according to Glen Rock police.

Maple at Waldron and Ackerman at Harding will be patrolled from 8 to 8:45 a.m. and 3:15 to 3:50 p.m. effective Monday, May 20. There will be no coverage of those posts during school lunch periods, police said.
