GRPD Respond to 1,500 Calls in October

Police in Glen Rock field roughly 400 more calls in October than in September.

For the month of October 2012, the GRPD responded to 1,531 calls for service. This included:

102 Hazardous Conditions/Trees/Limbs Down
7 Identity Thefts
6 Trauma Calls
8 Juvenile Related Calls
39 Medical Emergencies
0 Missing Persons
327 Motor Vehicle Stops
42 Motor Vehicle Accidents
2 Narcotics Arrests
5 Ordinance Violations
1 Shoplifting

Why can't the Ridgewood PD offer something similar? I've reached out to John Ward about this and he agreed it would be a good idea but that was pre Sandy and haven't heard anything since. Any other suggestions on how we can get it goin?

The do nothing police department must be kidding ,this subject was brought up in the past and went nowhere.

Interesting that our neighbor Glen Rock's police make public notice of this information yet Ridgewood does not. The incident of the doctor arrested on Union shows that there is plenty going on, yet no one at Village Hall seems to want to keep the citizenry informed. Perhaps the chosen few who control thing from behind the curtain want us to think that nothing ever happens. I guess the powers that be in Glen Rock think an informed public is a better protected public.
