GRPD Seeking Woman Allegedly Involved in Drug Fraud Ring

Warrants were issued for the arrest of a New York woman police say is involved in a ring that might be responsible for 40 prescription drug fraud cases in New York and New Jersey.

are searching for a woman they say took part in a large-scale prescription drug fraud ring that hit the borough and other towns throughout the northeast.

The Glen Rock Police Department are seeking Sazana Sadiku (AKA Sazaka Djonbalaj) of Smallwood, NY and Staten Island, NY, whom they claim assisted a fellow New York man, , and two other male accomplices in committing at least 40 prescription drug frauds in New York and New Jersey.

Salijaj was arrested on May 15 after an alert pharmacist at Rock Ridge Pharmacy noticed a familiar man attempting to fill a prescription. The individual, whom police identified as Salijaj, fit the description of a suspect , and unsuccessfully attempted to score oxycodone from the Rock Ridge Pharmacy the same day.

Sadiku allegedly took part in the fraud attempts but police said Salijaj, then lodged in the county jail, refused to disclose his believed accommplices.

Nevertheless, according to police, Sadiku was identified as having taken a role in the fraud several weeks ago but refused to surrender to police.

On Aug. 8, Det. James Calaski charged Sadiku and a judge set bail at $125,000 with no 10 percent option, police said.

Sadiku remains at large. The remaining two suspects have not been publicly identified.
