Jewelry Stolen from Two Unlocked Ridgewood Homes, Police Say

Reported burglars gained afternoon access to both homes through unlocked back doors, according to cops.

Jewelry was reported stolen in two afternoon burglaries of Ridgewood homes last week, according to village police.

In both cases, police said, the thieves gained access to the houses through unlocked back doors.

The first incident was reported last Wednesday, Dec. 11, when a Grove Street resident found jewelry missing after her master bedroom had been “ransacked” sometime between 2:30 and 7:30 that afternoon.
