Man Assaults Roommate Over Water Pressure, Police Say

Glenn Engell, 48, of Glen Rock, faces charges of aggravated assault after police claim he beat up his roommate in the latest chapter of an ongoing dispute.

An ongoing dispute between roommates on Lincoln Avenue boiled over Monday morning when fists flew, sending one tenant to the hospital with head injuries, according to .

Glen Rock Police and Ambulance Corps members arrived at a residential home on Lincoln Ave. at around 8 a.m. Monday and found a bloody Steven McNally lying on the porch.

"This was a dispute over water pressure in the house," said Glen Rock Police Cpt. Jonathan Miller.

McNally was transported to  for treatment of "head lacerations and contusions," Miller said. 

Police reported that McNally's injuries were not considered serious.

His roommate, Glenn Engell, 48, was charged with aggravated assault for allegedly punching McNally. Engell was processed and released on his own recognizance, Miller said. He faces a court hearing on Tuesday.

"This is ongoing at this residence with these roomates," Miller told Patch. "The police department is very familiar with the occupants of this address...There's processes going on to get these people out of this house, so we're hoping that takes care of it sooner than later."
