Pricey Trinkets Stolen from Glen Rock Home

Burglary occurred at a Lincoln Avenue residence; increase of thefts from unlocked cars also reported in Glen Rock.

Glen Rock Detectives are working to determine who broke into a Lincoln Avenue home and stole $150 worth of trinkets on Jan. 14.

Borough police reported that the Bergen County Crime Scene Unit responded and processed the scene. The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Detective Bureau at 201-670-3947 or 201-670-3948.

Residences aren't the only type of property targeted by thieves of late.

"The GRPD has received several reports of thefts from unlocked motor vehicles over the past week," the department said on its Facebook page.

"The thefts occured durng the overnight hours and small valuables like loose change, sunglasses and other items have been reported stolen. The GRPD reminds everyone to lock their vehicles and not to leave valuables in them overnight."
