[Update] Power Restored to 2,000 Glen Rock Residents

The Glen Rock Office of Emergency Management confirmed Tuesday evening that power had been restored to about 2,000 borough residents who lost power due to a failure at a Fair Lawn substation around 4 p.m.

A spokesman for the utility said that crews began work to address the issue shortly before 6 p.m.

As a contingency, plans had been made to make borough hall available during the evening to residents for light, air conditioning and charging.

Shortly before 8 p.m., the borough announced that the utility's outage maps showed no remaining Glen Rock residents in the dark.

Those still experiencing issues with their power can report problems to the company at 1-800-436-PSEG (7734).
