Ridgewood Cops Report 5th Car Break-In of the Month

This one occurred while the car was parked in the Hudson Street lot last week, police said.

About a week after authorities warned of car break-ins in Ridgewood and surrounding towns, police have announced that another one hit the village.

According to a release from cops Tuesday, a resident reported that his car was entered while it was parked in the Hudson Street parking lot last Wednesday. Police say that only a parking permit was stolen, but that the incident is still under investigation.

The break-in comes after a rash of four similar incidents in the village in four days earlier this month. This month also saw reports of increased car entry burglaries at health club parking lots in Wyckoff, Ramsey, and Mahwah.
