Ridgewood Man 'Pistol Whipped' in Paterson, Report Says

Man was robbed while looking for an open liquor store at 3 a.m., report says.

A 30-year-old Ridgewood man was “pistol whipped” and robbed while attempting to go to a liquor store in Paterson early Sunday morning, NorthJersey.com reported.

Police said the man was looking for an open liquor store on the corner of 10th Avenue and East 28th Street at about 3 a.m. Sunday when he was approached by a man carrying a gun, the report said. The victim told cops the man hit him with the gun and took his cash, the report said.

The Ridgewood man was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Hackensack University Medical Center, the report said.
