As part of its ongoing community policing initiative, the village police department will be partnering with the library for children's story time.
Starting Thursday, June 27 at 11 a.m. Ridgewood Police Chief John Ward will be dropping by with a box of cookies. His goal is to "provide children and parents the opportunity to meet and speak with the chief outside of an official setting and to encourage reading among children," the department said in a press release.
Stop by the library auditorium and meet up with Ward and the librarians for the pilot program.
