Sandy Deja Vu: Wednesday Wind Storm Knocks Tree onto Ridgewood Home

Village family was at home Wednesday night when a tree came crashing to their roof, report says.

It looks like a scene from the aftermath of hurricane Sandy, but a fallen tree on a Ridgewood home Thursday is actually the result of a wind storm Wednesday night.

According to a CliffviewPilot.com report, an uprooted tree crashed into the roof of a Fairview Street home after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. The family inside the home escaped without injury, the report said.

Ridgewood police and firefighters responded to the scene, the report said. Electric service was also cut to the home, but PSE&G responders restored power within an hour, it said.
