UPDATE: School Bus Crashes Into Utility Pole
No children onboard when bus veered into pole on E. Glen Ave near Northern Parkway Monday afternoon
A small school bus crashed into a utility pole on E. Glen Avenue at 2:45 p.m. Monday, according to the .
Police Cpt. Jacqueline Luthcke said the vehicle was traveling east near Northern Parkway when it veered into the pole. No children were on the bus at the time of the crash.
The driver was transported to by Ridgewood EMS though the other occupant remained on scene, Luthcke said. According to police, the driver is believed to have had suffered a medical issue, which caused the strike. The vehicle was towed from the scene at around 3:30 p.m.
