Sheriff Announces Launch of 'Facecrook'

Sheriff Michael Saudino launches a new application that allows residents to track fugitives.

Bergen County Sheriff Michael Saudino announced the launch of 'Facecrook,' the first application of its kind in the state of New Jersey. In a press release today, Saudino said that this new application that appears on the Bergen County Sheriff's Office website allows people to search the site for any active outstanding warrants held by the Sheriff's office.

Saudino said that Facecrook was designed as a way to utilize the power of technology in light of budget cuts and staffing constraints.

According to the release, Facecrook will drastically increase the number of eyes on the street. Through the use of 'pinmapping,' visitors to the site can view the last known whereabouts of Bergen County fugitives.

"Facecrook gives the public information on what these fugitives look like and data on where they might be living or working."

Saudino said that 'Facecrook' allows people to leave an anonymous tip alerting law enforcement that they may have information regarding a fugitive.

Facecrook can be accessed by visiting facecrook.net or facecrook.us.
