Stolen in Ridgewood: Scooter, Booze, Wallet

Thieves have hit up gyms, homes, yards and cars to find valuables.

Stolen scooters, stolen liquor, stolen wallets and stolen cell phones. They've all been reported in Ridgewood over the last week-and-a-half.

On July 25, the folks at the Quick Stop on Godwin Avenue saw a woman smuggle a few bottles of booze into a backpack and bolt. Police did not find the thief.

Two days later, a Stanley Road resident told the cops that someone broke into her car and stole two cell phones.

Remember when Razor scooters were all the rage? One thief did, apparently. A South Pleasant Ave. resident told police on July 28 that a Razor Scooter was stolen from his yard.

On July 29, a wallet was reported stolen from a gym locker at the Ridgewood YMCA.The following day, a resident of Linwood Ave close to Route 17 discovered someone had broken into her home through a window. Jewelry was taken.
