Three Cars Burglarized at Ridgewood Duck Pond

The Bergen County Police Department is investigating the incidents.

Ridgewood police confirmed three vehicles at the were burglarized early Saturday night.

Shattered glass from car windows could be seen on the exit road near East Ridgewood Avenue. The Bergen County Police Department is investigating the incidents, Ridgewood police said. The department could not immediately be reached for comment.

It wasn't immediately clear what, if any, proceeds were taken nor information regarding the suspects.

This isn't the first time law enforcement has reported multiple car break-ins at the county park.

In fall of 2011, police found multiple purses in a dumpster following a break-in report. Vehicles at the office building adjacent to the park have also been targeted in the last year, according to police.

Seriously, Ridgewood needs to become a gated community.

No need for a gated community. Maybe if the police in town did a better job things would improve.

Maybe i should have said county police or the sheriffs office as it is county property.

A gated community would take this town from a struggling economy to close to none. There are much better options which could benefit everyone and make us safer, but then again we like to spend our money on doubling the sizes of schools and many pointless things.
