Three Downtown Incidents Reported

Police blotter Jan. 10 to 16.

Three separated incidents occurred downtown last week, police said. Two people reported theft and one person informed police of a damaged car.

At an East Ridgewood Avenue business, an owner reported Jan. 12 that money was stolen in December 2009. The business's employees placed money in a file cabinet over a three-day period and found the money missing.

A village resident reported Jan. 14 at 7:57 p.m. that he parked his vehicle at New York Sports Club. He found that the passenger-side window was broken and a black leather bag containing personal items was missing.

Additionally, another village resident reported that he parked his vehicle in Starkbucks' rear parking lot Jan. 16 at 3:10 p.m. He said he parked in a space adjacent to a "No Parking" sign. He was allegedly approached by a male who said he was not supposed to park in that area. When he returned to the vehicle he found two large scratches in his car's side.
