Three Ridgewood Residents Arrested in SWAT-Led Drug Raid on Glen Rock Home

A recent RHS grad was also hit with a weapons charge in a Monday night raid that yielded seven arrests.

A Bergen County SWAT team raided a Glen Rock home Monday night, arresting seven people and discovering a handgun, drugs and $1,000 in cash. Three Ridgewood residents were among those arrested.

The people arrested by Glen Rock police, who were assisted by Bergen County police, included two juveniles from Glen Rock and a man who was manufacturing drugs in the home on the Ridgewood border, Glen Rock Police Chief Frederick P. Stahman said.

Stahman said Tuesday morning that when officers entered the Bergen Street house just before 7 p.m. Monday they found the loaded .32 caliber pistol, 40 bags of marijuana, an unknown quantity of cocaine, and $1,000 in cash on a coffee table.

According to the police chief, those arrested were: Kelsey Halloran, 19, of Ridgewood and a 2010 Ridgewood HS graduate; Natalie Aguado, 18, of Ridgewood in the RHS class of 2011; two male juveniles from Glen Rock; Corey McCoy, 38, of Glen Rock; Mark Miller, 21, a 2009 Ridgewood HS graduate; and James Gross, 20, who resided at the home.

Miller was also charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, manufacturing of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a weapon (the handgun),  distribution of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana under 50 grams.

He is being held in Bergen County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

According to jail records, Miller was arrested in September of 2008 in Ridgewood on charges of possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance; as well as the same charge within 500 feet of a public housing facility; in addition to possession of a controlled dangerous substance on school grounds. On Miller's Facebook page, he claims to go by the nickname "Hitman", as well as the plural form, "Hitmen".

Stahman confirmed in a correspondence with Patch that McCoy is currently on parole for a manslaughter conviction in New York, where he served a 12-year-sentence. Additionally, he has a warrant out for his arrest by Teaneck Municipal Court, Stahman said. Records show McCoy has also been arrested on unrelated drug charges in Paterson in recent years.

On Monday night, police were observed through a second story window turning over mattresses and rummaging through a room, which appeared to be a bedroom, for about an hour.

The police action, which began sometime before 7 p.m. and lasted well over two hours, had quieted down by 9:30 p.m., when Glen Rock Police Captain Jonathan Miller told Patch officers were conducting their "final search" of the property.

Along with Glen Rock Police, County Police and County SWAT, a Hackensack University Medical Center mobile intensive care unit was present but did not appear to be utilized.

Stahman said the raid went off without any injuries.

The persons in the home "knew they were outnumbered," Stahman said.

Two vehicles were also impounded at the scene — a BMW and a Honda.
