Tractor Trailer Knocks Over Traffic Light at Busy Intersection

Traffic snarled at Linwood and Paramus for hours.

A tractor trailer driver miscalculated a turn and knocked over a traffic light at Linwood Avenue and Paramus Road Friday afternoon.

Traffic was delayed for several hours due to the accident, frustrating drivers heading back for the long weekend. No injuries were reported in the accident, police said.

Linwood Avenue heading westbound was closed between Paramus Road and Route 17 for repairs. Both Paramus and Ridgewood police responded.
