Two Vehicles Stolen in Somerville Area, Others Burglarized

Police say the incidents happened between Thursday night and Friday morning.

Ridgewood police say two motor vehicles were stolen in the Somerville section of the village sometime Thursday night or early Friday morning.

One vehicle, police said, was taken off Walthery Avenue while the other was reported stolen from Pershing Avenue. Police say the vehicles could have been stolen between 8:20 p.m. Thursday and 6:00 a.m. Friday.

In a release sent to the press, police stated that "numerous other car entries were also reported in the same area with owner's manuals and registrations taken."

Detectives are currently investigating the thefts and would like to remind residents to ensure that all doors are locked and spare keys or owners manuals with the key code are not in the vehicle.
