Update: Lots of Warming Centers Open in Ridgewood, Glen Rock

Warming and charging stations have been set up in both Ridgewood and Glen Rock.

Somerville Elementary School is open in Ridgewood from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Ridgewood Woman's Club, at 215 W. Ridgewood Avenue, is also open, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, Sunday and Monday. Power up your smartphones, laptops, etc. and keep warm.

Ridgewood's Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church is stepping up in a big way as well.

The church, located at 55 Passaic Street, Ridgewood, has agreed to remain open 24 hours as a warming center/shelter for cold residents without power. Cots and a few blankets are available; residents should bring their own blankets. The church will not be serving meals. It's a quick walk to downtown Ridgewood though.

In Glen Rock, Borough Hall is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
