Village Hiring Parking Enforcement Officer, Accountant Positions

Part-time parking enforcement position calls for 20 hours a week; experienced principal accountant also sought.

Few places seem to be hiring, but the village is not among those without jobs available.

As we reported, the village is as the council figures out a long-term solution to the shade tree issues in town.

The village is also looking to hire another parking enforcement officer. The position calls for up to 20 hours of work a week at $16.98 per hour. Applications are available at the police department. A resume, cover letter and application should be sent to Ridgewood Police Chief John Ward, at 131 N. Maple Ave., Ridgewood, NJ 07450. Applications should be submitted by August 27, 2012.

All hiring is provisional and subject to Civil Service and residency requirements, according to police.

Lastly, the village is looking to replace Louis Mai, its principal accountant. Duties include preparing and reviewing a $45 million budget. Those interested should send a cover letter with resume and salary history to Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer, 131 N. Maple Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07451.
