Youngsters Find Cash Cache Outside Boiling Springs Bank, Turn it Over to Cops

A pair of Ridgewood boys that stumbled on a load of cash outside a village bank turned the greenbacks over to police, proving that people sometimes still do the right thing.

The boys were walking Thursday with their grandmother outside the Boiling Springs Bank on Chestnut Street when they made the discovery of a "large amount" of $100 bills, according to a report on NorthJersey.com.

The family called the cops to report their find and the bills were turned over to police, along with additional cash found after authorities pried open a sewer grate.

Cops are mum on just how much was recovered, hoping that the rightful owner of the money could lay claim to it by pegging the dollar amount.
