Victim died one week after being injured

A boy has been charged with murder after a 17-year-old Barringer High School student stabbed last week died from his wounds, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office announced Friday.

It is so sad to see that there is no structure ,for our boys. We need more fathers to step up and start to help these single mothers. There needs to be more mentoring programs for our sons.

Without addressing the issue of the suspect's guilt or innocence, it's certainly true there are a lot of young people in Newark -- and in the suburbs -- who have been failed by the adults in their lives, Yvonne.

I agree Paul, they are so many falling through the cracks. No structure, no consistency. They need more.
