Borough Unveils Free 'Glen Rock App'
The app was created by students at the Stevens Institute of Technology as part of a senior project.
Want to know what's happening in town or get direct access to Glen Rock officials? There's an app for that.
The borough recently announced on its website that it is offering residents a new, free smartphone app, courtesy of a Stevens Institute of Technology class.
According to the release, "The Borough of Glen Rock, NJ" app was developed by SIT students as part of their senior project in a computer science class. The students collaborated with Councilwoman Pam Biggs to create the app, it said.

Residents who use the app will get a view of the borough's website, access to town news, the calendar of events, and local businesses. It will also allow them to call Glen Rock departments from the app.
"This app will help fulfill the Borough's goal of stronger communications with Glen Rock residents," officials said in the release.

"The Borough would like to thank Professor [David] Klappholz and the six students who created this app: Victor Jurczenia, Patrick Paolella, Julian Sexton, Suketu Shah, Van Staskus and Noel Whitaker."
The app is currently available in the Google Play store for the Android platform, and officials say it should be available for iPhones by the end of the year. Check out the app here.
