Glen Rock Parks Now Smoke Free

Borough Council passed ordinance creating smoke free zones in public parks.

Supplementing the state law that already bars smoking inside public buildings, Glen Rock parks and recreation facilities are now smoke free.

The Glen Rock Gazette reported that the borough council adopted an ordinance banning tobacco smoke in public parks, introduced for consideration last month, at its Sept. 11 public meeting.

The provision applies to borough buildings, parks and playgrounds, while allowing smokers to light up in parking lots and roadways adjacent to recreation facilities, according to the report.
