Poll: How Will You Be Voting on Tuesday?

We're asking residents what their thoughts are for the upcoming elections.

It is exactly one week until the November 2011 elections, when Bridgewater residents will select a new mayor and two council members.

Republican , Independent and Democrat are running for mayor, while Republican incumbents and are running against Democrats and for council.

Elections will be held Nov. 8.

So in advance of the real elections, we wanted to know what residents are thinking—through a little informal poll of our own.

Take our poll and let us know who you're planning to vote for for mayor and for council. Results will be completely anonymous, although readers are encouraged to leave comments as well.

Then, on Monday morning, we'll reveal the results of the polls, and see on Tuesday if they match up.

We want to hear what you're thinking, Bridgewater!

Continuation of responses to Mr. Conover #3 Regarding Civil Unions. The Knights of Columbus are dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. I believe that a person's religion does not dictate their personal ability to make decisions based upon their own personal morals. It is also my understanding that Mr. Hayes is not the only candidate for Bridgewater Mayor whose religion is Catholic. #4 - Mr. Hayes does indeed have two years of experience in his elected capacity as Councilman for Bridgewater Township. In addition he has served on the township Open Space Advisory Committee, Economic Development Advisory Committee, and the Planning Board #5 - Bulky trash is a question for all candidates to address. In the meantime I would suggest that all residents look to recyce and utilize resources available for large items such as metal salvage for appliances, donations to needy organizations for furniture etc. Why is filling landfills the most popular way to dispose of our "unnecessary" items. Mr. Conover inferred that it was inappropriate for individuals to plan for successorship or transfer of leadership. Leadership is not something that occurs automatically; it is developed by experience from both within and outside an organization. Lets hope that for the remaining hours of the campaign that we can all take the time to reflect on each Candidates position without feeling that we have to disparage other candidates.

My dislike for Hayes is not just an indictment of him, it is also of his party and the poor leadership. Also note however I can not stand the democratic candidates also. I think both parties have created such a mess in this country and have brought us to the brink of collapse. That's why when I find a qualified candidate and who truly believes in community service and has pure intentions such as George Jones I will support him to the very end.

How is George qualified?? He was FIRED for not doing his job and he hasn't said a word to refute or support himself as a former Zoning Officer of Bridgewater. HE WAS FIRED. If he can't run that office, how could he EVER run the entire town? Seems like very simple logic. Bridgewater Taxpayer and the rest of the posters here that hide behind fake names, do yourself a quick favor and look up Bridgewater's tax rate. Compare it against every other county and township in the state. Yes, it's the lowest in NJ. LOWEST. This is why 'Bulk Trash' is all George Jones can focus on. Bulky Trash.. hahahaha.

Even the Matthew Moench representing the Somerset County Republican Party petitioning my 18 year old's right to vote based on flawed DMV process wasn't enough to stop democracy. You should be ashamed of yourself trying to suppress the vote of Americans. People who go to court on election day, go out of their way to perform citizenship are the people you targeted to stop voting. Don't give me any "protection of voter fraud" You and Your party are a dying breed. Congrats Mr. President! Gary 7:37 am on Wednesday, November 7, 2012
Robert Young October 23, 2013 at 10:49 PM
I think it is time for Bridgewater to have and Independent like Mr. Young who is a heavy campaigner for the American Constitution. I,Robert Young do not have any experience within the township government but a long history of High Level Corporate work with AT&T and a history of working and caring for Senior Citizens . I am very outspoken and a fighter who looks out for the welfare of the people. I will try and have my name placed on the ballot and hope to meet all as we try and make Bridgewater a better and less costly place to live. Hope all works out and look forward to meeting all. Thank You, Robert This blog was put up and deleted, please do not as this is America land of Free Speech.
