Vacant Central Avenue Lot Subdivision to be Heard by Planning Board

An application to subdivide a vacant lot on Central Avenue which is owned by the borough will go before the Hasbrouck Heights Planning Board on Wednesday night.

Hasbrouck Heights Planning Board will discuss plans Wednesday night regarding the proposed subdivision of a piece of borough-owned property on Central Avenue just across from the municipal building.

The piece of property sits just between a residential home and the playground and parking lot which is part of Central Avenue park.

This subdivision is part of the process in the sale of the property. The borough has expressed interest in selling the piece of land for some time now and have been taking steps over the past year to begin the process.

The piece of property has been vacant for some time and the borough hopes to sell it so it can become a ratable for the town.

This Planning Board meeting was originally scheduled for last month but was postponed due to a snowstorm.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in council chambers.
