Village Seeks Applicants for Boards and Committees

Ridgewood is seeking applications from residents interested in serving on various village boards and committees in the coming year.

Volunteers are sought for openings on the Community Relations Advisory Board, promoting diversity and the reduction of bias; the Library Board of Trustees, the governing body of the public library; the Parks, Recreation and Conservation Board, advising the village on recreation policies and programs; the Open Space Committee, making recommendations on the development of open space purchases; the Project Pride Committee, who plant flowers downtown and organize the Village Garden Program; the Ridgewood Environmental Advisory Committee, assisting with planning on environmental issues; the Citizens Safety Advisory Committee, advising on pedestrian and traffic safety; the Historic Preservation Committee; and the Financial Advisory Committee, making recommendations on the budget and other financial matters.

The village is also seeking volunteers to serve as the first members of its new Shade Tree Commission, a body tasked with replenishing Ridgewood's tress and advising the governing body on tree policy.
