Elementary School Student is Published Author

Claire Harris, a 4th grader at Ridgewood's Travell School, was congratulated by the school board at its last meeting

The village's youngest author is a precocious outgoing fourth grade student.

Claire Harris, whose story about her "spy cat" Zeta was published in Highlights Magazine, was contratulated by the Ridgewood School Board at its most recent board meeting.

Harris wrote the story last summer about her "spy cat" Zeta, a creature who defies the species by being unusually social.

Harris thanked a long list of Travell teachers and administrators "for always encouraging me to be a reader and writer."
