The Glen Rock High School Interact Club will host its annual fashion show on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Tickets may be purchased for $6 at the door. Fashions will be modeled by GRHS students.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in Burlington, Vt., which provides free overnight lodging and support for cancer patients who must travel far from home for cancer treatment.
The event is also supporting GRHS’s sister school in Paterson, by collecting prom dresses for students there. Admission is free to those who donate a dress. Donations are welcome from anyone, whether attending the fashion show or not. Appropriate dresses - long or short – may also be dropped off at the high school attendance office during normal school hours.
The fashions on display are being provided by Suite 201, Gattinolli and Biltmore Tuxedos, among others. Hair and make-up services are being donated by Moxie Salon thanks to Glen Rock alumni, Kelly O’Neill.
Last year’s event netted over $1,000 in donations and the students hope to top that this year. For more information, or to make a monetary donation to the cause, contact Interact Club advisor Debbie Brolsma at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Interact Club, a student organization that is an extension of Rotary Clubs International, is an active club in the school that provides many opportunities for students to become involved in service projects where they can give back to their community.
