Glen Rock High School students receive visit from journalism professor Ron Hollander.
A journalist who covered the Civil Rights movement stopped by Glen Rock High School on May 13 to share his experiences.
Montclair State University journalism professor Ron Hollander told students of his experiences as a Civil Rights activist in Jackson, Mississippi in the early 1960s. He wrote for a Civil Rights newspaper at the time and in recent years has appeared in a new PBS documentary about the Freedom Riders.
GRHS social studies teacher Kathleen Walter and media center specialist Linda Hartman arranged for Hollander's appearance.
