'Greatest Science Extravaganza in Northern New Jersey' Coming

Super Science Saturday kicks off on March 9 at Ridgewood High School.

Hundreds will be wowed at Ridgewood High School on March 9 for the annual Super Science Saturday.

As is tradition, the event will feature rocket launches, a 25-foot egg drop and paper airplane contests.

More than 50 adult and professional presenters will be at the high school from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The free event is sponsored by Valley Hospital and the Ridgewood Education Foundation.

More than 4,000 students have participated over the years and organizers are hoping 2013 will bring another 500 young minds interested in science.

If you're not familiar with the event, check out the video attached at the right of this article.

Is the geared for kids of any age, or just teenagers?

This is a great event. I'm glad to see that they are doing it again.

D Taylor - During the years when our family has attended, there were exhibits for kids of all ages.

Plenty of exhibits for everyone. Definately go but walk there if possible as parking is difficult.
