Ridgewood Boutique Adding Second Downtown Store

Suite 201 will begin selling more formal attire this winter in a second Ridgewood location.

Suite 201 is expanding its inventory beyond the confines of its current downtown Ridgewood store, but customers won’t have to go far to find the new styles.

A new storefront is currently in the works mere blocks from the Walnut Street shop, at the former 66 East Ridgewood Avenue location of Yansi Fugel.

“Social by Suite 201” will differ from its two-year-old progenitor in its fashion offerings, adding more formal attire to the boutique’s casual, “girls night out” inventory.

“We think it’s great for convenience,” said owner Alina Leshiner, who is going into the added store with business partner Tara Vimbor. “A lot of people come in looking for special occasion stuff, so we figured, just send them down the street.”

The second location will offer attire for sweet 16s, proms, weddings and other formal occasions, as well as shoes, under garments and accessories, Lesbiner said.

“It’s going to be a really fun place to go in town to cover all your special occasion needs,” she said. “We will even style bridal parties and provide fun gifts the bride can gift her bridesmaids.”

But formality, the owner stressed, does not mean expensive.

“We’re trying to keep the price point very affordable, with a variety of price ranges,” she said.

Preparations are underway now for a mid-December opening, Leshiner said. For a look at their styles, follow the boutique on Instagram.
