Education Foundation Seeking Volunteers as PGA Championship Returns to Ridgewood Country Club

PGA makes donations to all the local charitable organizations that participate in the tournament.

The following was submitted to Patch by the Glen Rock Education Foundation.

The Glen Rock Education Foundation (GREF) is seeking individuals age 16 and up to volunteer this summer at The Barclays PGA Golf Championship at Ridgewood Country Club from August 21 - August 24.

GREF has just been assigned (and will begin to fill) volunteer spots in Admissions, Corporate Hospitality, the Media Center, Special Events, and as marshals and standard bearers.

The PGA makes generous contributions every year to all the local charitable organizations that participate and add to the success of the tournament.  The more volunteers that GREF provides, the larger the donation it will receive from the PGA.

However, due to the popularity of this nationally televised tournament, there are a limited number of volunteer spots.  The sooner that individuals sign up as GREF volunteers, those individuals will be guaranteed an opportunity to attend and participate, and GREF will be closer to receiving a larger amount of money to support innovation in education at Glen Rock's public schools.

Before registering, contact Bob Burslem for important details (there is a fee) about committing to volunteer at The Barclays. Call 201 556-4572 or email Robert.Burslem@LFG.com.
