Ridgewood YMCA Lifeguard Training Water Skills Test

The Ridgewood YMCA will be offering a Lifeguard Training course for persons 16 and over beginning March 30 and running through May 6. Classes will  meet on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30pm–9:30 pm at the Ridgewood Y, 112 Oak
Street in Ridgewood.

The cost of the program is $350 per person and all participants must pass a prerequisite water skills test to be offered on Thursday, March 24 from 7:30pm–9:30pm.  There is a $10 fee for
participants wishing to take the test.

YMCA Lifeguard Training is a national program designed to train advanced swimmers in the skills needed to prevent water accidents and save lives in emergencies. YMCA Lifeguard Certification is
nationally recognized and accepted for lifeguard employment at pool and lake facilities.
