Giovanetti Leads Maroons Wrestlers in BC Tourney

senior wrestler Brandon Giovanetti came up just short of taking home a Bergen County title last week in the Bergen County Coaches Association Tournament at Rockland County College.

Giovanetti finished second at 132 pounds while teammates, sophomore Joe Oliva and senior Aaron Bess came in third at 120 and fourth at 170.

In the team standings the Maroons came in 11th out of the 40 or more schools. Ridgewood scored 92 points, a couple of points ahead of Rutherford and 1 1/2 points behind 10th-place River Dell. Don Bosco won the team title with 191 points.
