A Glen Rock High School senior is the recipient of the Hobey Baker High School Character Award, according to the school district.
Harris Nebbia, a senior goalie on the hockey team, is this year's recipient. The award is given to a player who "exemplifies character, commitment, teamwork, persistence, selflessness, academic excellence and sportsmanship."
The award started a decade ago in honor of Baker, a prolific hockey player who died in WWI. It is presented to a player on each high school team that participates nationwide.

Nebbia is one of the most decorated student athletes in the program's history. He holds the record for victories (43) and shutouts. He led Glen Rock to a Big North Silver championship this past season.
