Ridgewood Football Heading to Championship at MetLife
Two undefeated teams vying for title in final tournament game.
One more game to go for the Ridgewood Maroons.
The high school football squad goes to MetLife Stadium, home of the Giants and Jets, Saturday, Dec. 7 to vie for the North 1, Group 5 championship.
The second seed, undefeated Maroons face off against the similarly undefeated Montclair Mounties, the first seed in the tournament.
Ridgewood beat Passaic Tech 31-7 last week in the semi-final game.
The Maroons will be seeking their first championship since the 2004 season, when they went to the big game as defending champions. The game kicks off in East Rutherford at 7 p.m.
