Lost Dog Saved From Adoption, Reunited with Glen Rock Family

A Glen Rock resident found a puppy all alone at Hamilton School on Tuesday and reports the family picked the pup up from the shelter.

Here's some good news – Tuesday morning at in Glen Rock won't be sent away for adoption after all.

In an e-mail to Patch Thursday morning, Crafword said the male puppy was picked up at Bergen Animal Rescue shelter by a relieved family.

"It was a Glen Rock family and they either saw your article or one of my posters around town," Crawford said.

Had the dog not been picked up, it would have been sent for adoption within a week.

I am wondering two things. Did the family microchip the puppy and do they now have a plan in place to prevent this little escape artist from going missing in the future?
