Borough Council Reorganizes, Housing Hearings Resume This Week

A look at what's coming up this week in Ridgewood and Glen Rock.

The Glen Rock Borough Council holds its reorganization meeting Monday night in the council chambers at borough hall. Council members Mary Jane Surrago and Michael O’Hagan begin their new terms after winning reelection in November. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.

The Glen Rock Board of Education will also hold its first meeting of the year at 8 p.m. Sheldon Hirschberg, Carlo Cella and Shanjiv Ohri are to be sworn in for new terms, having run unopposed in November.

The Ridgewood Planning Board meets Tuesday night in the Ridgewood High School Campus Center. The board will continue introductory comments from attorneys representing four applications for downtown housing developments. The board is also expected to hear comments from the public, which were originally scheduled for last month.

A reception will be held for the Ridgewood High School Alumni Art Show from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday at the school’s Carroll Gallery.

The Ridgewood Village Council and Glen Rock Zoning Board meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. Agendas are not yet available.
