Ridgewood HS Wrestlers Perform "Harlem Shake"

Internet "dance" sensation has generated more than 175 million views.

Ridgewood wrestlers are getting down with the explosive internet dance phenomenon "The Harlem Shake." On Feb. 14, around the height of the viral trend, YouTube user "Kyle Inlander" uploaded a version. Inlander's 30-second video showcases Ridgewood High School wrestling team members pelvic thrusting, flailing, jumping, and shaking to electronic musician Baauer's hit song, "Harlem Shake." It has received 5,460 views and contains all of the touchtones of the global internet meme. A masked dancer kicks off the intro. A quick jump cut follows with one camera angle to capture the "dancing" at the high school gymnasium. The video is one of tens of thousands like it to be uploaded to YouTube in recent weeks.
