Glen Rock Teen Stars in Tim Burton's New 3-D Animated Movie

Glen Rock High School student Charlie Tahan, 14, did the voicework for Victor Frankenstein, the main character in Tim Burton's new black-and-white stop animation film, "Frankenweenie"

He might only be 14, but Charlie Tahan can point to his IMDB profile and boast that he's already accomplished what few actors have – he's worked on films with big names like Tim Burton, Woody Allen, Will Smith, and Mila Kunis. The Glen Rock High School freshman's latest production, Frankenweenie, opens in theaters on Friday. The 3-D animated Tim Burton flick features Tahan's voice work for the main character, Victor Frankenstein. In the film, Victor's character creates a science experiment to bring his dog back to life though things don't exactly go as expected. According to an article in the Glen Rock Gazette, Tahan spent 10 days over the course of three years reading lines in a New York City sound booth and never met the other actors …

Congrats to Charlie; the film looks pretty cool! I think the only thing I had accomplished by the age of 14 was capably tying my shoelaces and passing an occasional test in school. I did make some pretty cool Lego cities though, to my credit.   more ›
